Civil Service Exam Requirements

To ensure a smooth application process, prepare all the necessary documents before securing an appointment or heading to the CSC Field Office. Missing even one requirement will cause your application to be rejected.

1. Fully Accomplished CS Form No. 100

Download and print CS Form No. 100 (Revised September 2016) on legal size paper (8.5 x 14 inches). Fill in all required fields using a black ballpen. Leave the signature and thumbmark boxes blank until you are in front of the CSC processing officer.

2. Four (4) Pieces of Passport-size ID Pictures

The CSC is notoriously strict with ID pictures. Your photos must strictly adhere to the following specifications:

• Size: Passport size (4.5 cm x 3.5 cm or 1.8 inches x 1.4 inches).
• Taken within the last 3 months prior to filing.
• White background with standard close-up shot showing full face.
• Bare face (no eyeglasses, no colored contact lenses, no excessive makeup).
• Handwritten Name Tag: Must hold a sign with your full name (First Name, Middle Initial, Last Name, Extension Name) and signature over printed name. Computer-generated name tags are NOT allowed.

3. Valid ID (Original and Photocopy)

Bring the original and a clear photocopy of at least one valid ID. Accepted IDs include:

• Passport
• Driver's License
• UMID / SSS / GSIS ID
• PRC License
• Postal ID (PVC card)
• Voter's ID / Voter's Certification
• PhilID (National ID)

Note: Company IDs, school IDs, and police clearances are generally NOT accepted unless specifically announced by the CSC.

4. Examination Fee

The application fee is ₱500.00 for the Pen and Paper Test (PPT). If you are applying for the Computerized Examination (COMEX) in Manila, the fee is ₱680.00. Bring exact change if possible.
